Fender Musicmaster Bass

Year: 1979Origin: Fullerton, CA. USA

Color: Black

Pickup: Original Fender MusicMaster single coil has strong output and great tone

Modifications/Repairs: None

Case: Original Fender “chipboard” case is included. Case has some wear and some lighter separation from the bottom to the top. It’s a pretty clean companion to the bass and these cases rarely survived the decades after the 70s so they are rare. That said, if you plan on gigging or otherwise transporting with this bass you will likely want to store the original case away and get a more robust newer case or gigbag.

Cosmetic Condition: Very Good to Excellent condition with some light marks/dings in a few spots and some oxidation on the hardware.

Operational Condition: Fully-functioning including all electronics, truss rod. Frets have some lighter wear but are overall in good shape and have plenty of life left

Description: This MusicMaster bass looks mean as hell and plays and sounds great. It’s easy to play up and down the neck thanks to its low action, round but “not too fat neck” that is worn in in the most perfect way and its short scale. The sound classic vintage Fender with a fat, round “dry” sound that still has clarity and punch and sounds not far off from a P-bass from this era.
