Fender Jaguar

Year: 1966

Origin: Fullerton, CA. USA

Case: Original Fender hard case. Case is in very good shape with some wear to the tolex and the liner but over all was kept nice. The latches are all intact and work with some light nudging

Color: Original Candy Apple Red Custom finish

Pickups: Original Fender Jaguar single coil pickups

Modifications/Repairs: Bone nut is a newer replacement. There are two extra small screw holes in the pickup cavity. These are obviously not visible when the pickguard and/or the pickups are in. Guitar was just professionally refretted with vintage correct frets and plek’d

Cosmetic Condition: Very Good with some scratches, dings, checking, etc. The original mute is still intact but like all original Jags, the foam hardened. It has since been removed. The Chrome hardware is in very good shape with almost no pitting but some scratching. There is significant wear through the finish on the back and some other light dings. Overall condition is an 8 out of 10.

Fully Functioning: Fully-Functioning with full adjustability if you’d like to raise or lower action. All electronics and truss rod work perfectly and the frets are brand new. The guitar is a joy to play, listen to and look at.

Description: They don’t come much cooler than this 1966 Jaguar in factory original Candy Apple Red. All the parts are original accept for the aforementioned new nut and frets and thanks to those two additions this Jag is purring probably better than it did new…it is an absolute blast to play. The neck is the round and somewhat fatter “B” shape and dates to ’66 according to the heel stamp. The pickups are evenly matched and are glorious sounding and have that wire-y, woody 1960s tone that sounds just like all those classic records that we adore. This is a superb instrument with 50 + years of vibe stored up in it and it’s just waiting to bring its story to your recordings and performances. You need this classic Fender in your collection!
