Fender Mustang
Year: 1965
Origin: Fullerton, CA. USA
Finish: Refinished in a really excellent and somewhat hypnotic sparkle over black finish that we’ve nicknamed “Blanket of Stars”. The sparkles reflect colored light making this guitar look quite colorful in-person. The finish is professional and smooth although it’s someaht of a head-scratcher that the person who did the refin chose to spray the guitar without removing the pickguard or the control plate which left the original Dakota Red finish intact underneath. Perhaps this painter really wanted to utilize their taping skills because thy did an excellent job
Neck description: Full, round neck in Fender’s “B” size which is wider at the nut.
Pickups: Original single coil Fender Mustang pickups
Case: Comes with deluxe hybrid hard/soft gig bag that is not original to the guitar
Modifications/Repairs: Tremolo arm is from a Stratocaster. Guitar has been refretted with larger, more modern-style frets.
Cosmetic Condition: Good condition with the aforementioned refin, some yellowing and wear to the original finish on the neck and headstock and significant flaking of the chrome on the neck plate as well as the the bar on the tail piece. Overall condition is a 7.5 out of 10
