$1,499.00

Fender Telecaster Standard

Year Made: Olympic White

Case: Fender tweed hard shell case from the era is included. Case has some discoloration, rust on the hardware (the hardware still works great though), etc and almost looks like a tweed case from the 1950s than the late 1980s. It really looks killer.

Neck Description: Medium maple C shape neck with dark Rosewood fretboard

Modifications/guitar: Bridge pickup died on this and our tech replaced it with a newer Am. Standard neck pickup. The original will be included should you want to have it rewound. One grommet was changed. There are no other mods/changes to the guitar other than strings

Condition: Very Good to Excellent condition with significant (and great-looking) yellowing to the original Olympic White finish. There is one or two very small chips in the finish. Overall condition is an 8 out of 10

Operational Condition: Fully-functional

Description: 1980s American Standard Fenders made in the newly up and running (in the mid 1980s) Corona factory are recognized as being great guitars and this creamed out Olympic White Tele from ’88 is as fine an example of that as we’ve seen. It’s a comfortable weight and resonant when unplugged and sounds terrific when plugged in. The “C” neck (with a lovely, dark Rosewood fretboard that almost looks like Ebony) that is a joy to get around. If you’re looking for a great vintage Tele that doesn’t cost as much as a car you owe it to yourself to consider this banana creme baddie from ’88!
