Description: Here’s a killer-playing and sounding Gibson Heritage Series Les Paul Standard from 1980 in the gorgeous Honey Amber finish with somewhat understated but really lovely figuring in the maple top. The Heritage Series Les Pauls were the first LPs to recall the legendary 1959 Les Paul and the first to do away with many of the late 70s Gibson “features” that players detested. The neck is a beefier, ’59 style neck with good life left on the original frets. It has a fresh setup from our in-house tech and plays quite well. Unplugged the guitar is resonant and lively and fun to play and when plugged into a worthy amp, the original Tim Shaw pickups provide a full, punchy, harmonic rich tone while staying articulate and pleasing. If you’re considering a Heritage Series LP, Custom shop or even a vintage Les Paul that has real vibe and classic tone and gorgeous looks you owe it to yourself to consider this stunner from ’80! It’s an important part of Gibson’s History and an LP that can hang with the best of ’em!
